Singer directs King Kong?

Bryan Singer helped direct King Kong? WTF? Not that it was that great a movie but funny story. Here's the background behind this clip. So Bryan Singer is in Australia working on Superman(just started) while Peter Jackson is in New Zealand finishing up King Kong. Apparently Jackson is so exhausted that he calls up Bryan Singer. Jackson had heard he was in Australia. They do not know each other but nonetheless Jackson calls up a complete stranger and asks him to direct while he collapses from exhaustion. I thought this was a joke but watch the clip. Singer is not credited in the movie(not that I know of anyway). Funny watch
